Member Dues
Membership Dues for existing members open 09/01/2024.
Membership dues can be paid through our new membership system, located below.
Members not enrolled by October 1st, 2024 will have their membership automatically cancelled.
Active Members: $150 + Fees
Associate Members: $60 + Fees
To reenroll post October 1st, 2024, please email Maureen Wright at bjwctreasurer@gmail.com. Late Fees of 50% must be included with the dues paid after October 1st, 2024.

Each member of BJWC is required to sign up for at least one committee. Below are the various committee's and a description of each one. Please read about them and then pick one that interests you! Sign-up via signup genius.
BJWC Committee Info:
Character Counts: Nicole Arnold & Kristin Baumann
Character Counts is the committee of BJWC that focuses on outstanding individuals in the Barrington community that go above and beyond for their town & the people who live there. This committee honors and recognizes them for all their hard work.
Busiest time of year for the committee: Late winter/ Spring with an award ceremony mid-late spring
Community Service: Courtney Johnson
Community Service is a committee of BJWC that dedicates itself to providing time, service and help for people/organizations & other non profits in need. This committee helps find volunteer opportunities for our members to give back to the town of Barrington and others.
Busiest time of year for the committee: Busy @ various points in the year. Meals on Wheels twice a month ( every second Tuesday and the 31st of the month unless it falls on a weekend), 2 FMSC events per year (Spring/Winter) & help with Giving Day
Fall Ways & Means: Amanda Couling, Lauren Cole, Maureen Wright, Emily Rosencrans, Rachel Menge-Flannagan, Jacqui Pieroni & Ashley Thompson
This committee puts on one of the biggest events of the BJWC year. This event helps raise money that BJWC uses to give out in grants/scholarships, showcases local business in the community that donate to our cause & provides a fun night out for our members/ locals who attend the event. This amazing event kicks off BJWC’s year of events and helps show the community what our organization is all about.
Busiest time of year for the committee: Busiest mid August- the event which is held the second Saturday in November
HOPE Holiday: Kristina Barnett & Kristina McMurray
HOPE dinner is BJWC’s holiday event/party of the year that takes place in lieu of our December General Meeting. It provides a fun night out for our members to celebrate the upcoming holidays with a festive theme at a local restaurant in town. It is a big event that helps raise money that we are able to give back out in grants/scholarships at the end of our Juniors year.
Busiest time of the year for the committee: Busiest fall- the winter event which takes place the first Tuesday of December
Giving Day: Megan Zarling, Pattie Felts & Keara Bronge
Giving Day is a Barrington event that is centered around helping families in our area that are in need to obtain items such as clothes, school supplies & other goods. BJWC plays a huge role in the December event which has one of the largest turnouts for local families. Our group is in charge of toys! We help buy gift cards, gifts and toys with some of the money we raise throughout the year. We also help sort, clean up and package the toys that are donated each year. The women in our group also help the families pick things out for their children on the day of the event, organize the toys throughout the day & setup/take down. It is one of the most rewarding days of the year to be able to help!
Busiest time of the year for the committee: End of summer- event which takes place beginning/middle of December
New Membership: Natalie Koerber & Katie Smith
New membership committee is a very important committee at BJWC. The main focus for this committee is on making new members feel welcome, answer questions and provide new/existing member social events to mix and mingle at. It is this committees main goal to make sure new members feel welcome & to be there to guide them during their first year.
Busiest time of the year for the committee: Busy at the start of the year & at various times throughout the year for different events/mixers
Philanthropy: Carolyn McNamara & Maureen Wright
The philanthropy committee over see’s & helps choose what organizations/individuals will receive grants and scholarships for the year. This committee puts in a lot of time and effort looking over each applications BJWC receives. This is one of the ways BJWC gives back to the community through the money we have raised all year long.
Busiest time of the year for the committee: Late winter- Spring with an grant ceremony & the scholarship dinner the first Tuesday in June
Safety Town: Katie Johnson & Stephanie Surz
Safety Town is a miniature town that gives children hands-on experience using safety skills while riding trikes & acting as pedestrians. It takes place during 4 weeks of the summer and is available one time only for incoming kindergarteners and first graders. BJWC founded this event for our town and it’s a very memorable experience for the children who live here!
Busiest time of the year for the committee: Busy from spring time- the end of safety town which concludes the end of July or beginning of August
Service to Seniors: Claire Mullen & Lauren Biestek
Service to Seniors is a committee that focuses on providing a few fun & festive events to the seniors in our town. This committee is in charge of throwing a holiday party, Valentines Day party & the Spring Fling. They make sure the events have yummy treats, festive decor & bingo/activity for the senior residents.
Busiest time of the year for the committee: 3 major events which are the December holiday party, the February Valentine’s Day party & Spring Fling in May
Spring Ways & Means: Natalie Kelly & Lauren Hansen
This committee focuses on the spring event that concludes our major events for the year. This committee helps raise money through a themed night out for our members and other event goers in the community. It is a fun event that allows socializing between members while making an impact with the money raised!
Busiest time of the year for the committee: Busy late winter- spring or Spring- start of summer depending on the timing/date chosen
Family Engagement: Heather Kieser & Masha Malovance
This committee is an important one that provides a fun outlet for members and their kids to do events/ playdates while mingling & socializing. It also helps involve kids to learn how to give back to the community through art & other various projects
Busiest time of the year for the committee: Busy at various times throughout the year
Wellness: Maggie Grothe
This is a new committee this year that focuses on helping members learn more about their health whether its physical, mental, emotional or healthier eating habits. It will do this through health and wellness activities

Social: Stephanie Surz & Melonie Konior
This is a new committee that will host engaging events & gatherings throughout the year bringing our members together for fun and memorable experiences. We aim at building relationships & enhancing member involvement through a range of social opportunities to help connect, collaborate & celebrate with fellow BJWC members.
